Tim Kania joined Palms Insurance in 2020, bringing more than 35 years of global underwriting and operational leadership to his role as the President. He previously served as the Global Head of First Party Insurance at Aspen Insurance, where he led the company’s energy, construction, property, and marine portfolios.
Before Aspen, Tim was the Senior Vice President of Energy & Construction at Liberty International Underwriters and held senior roles at Munich Re and AIG focused on complex property, energy, and construction risks.
Tim holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, is a Licensed Professional Engineer in fire protection engineering, and has earned CPCU and ARM designations. He is recognized for his technical expertise, strategic leadership, and ability to deliver innovative underwriting solutions for complex risks.
