David Cohen joined Palms Insurance in 2023 as the Chief Underwriting Officer, bringing extensive industry experience and strong track record of leadership and strategic underwriting.
Before joining Palms, David served as President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Aspen Insurance, where he led the insurance segment and drove organizational growth. Earlier in his Aspen tenure, he played a key role in elevating underwriting talent and advancing enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Prior to Aspen, David held senior leadership roles at Liberty International Underwriters, serving as President and Global Casualty Chief Underwriting Officer.
He began his career at American International Group, developing a deep foundation in underwriting and risk management. Throughout his career, David has built high-performing teams, executed complex underwriting strategies, and consistently delivered profitable growth. He holds a BS in Insurance and Finance from the University of Hartford and is widely recognized for his technical expertise and strategic vision.
