Chris Dougherty

Chris Dougherty joined Palms Insurance in 2026, bringing more than 30 years of global (re)insurance experience to his role as Chief Business Officer. He most recently served as Chief Executive of Alimco Re, where he led the organization's strategic and operational direction.

Prior to Alimco Re, Chris held executive leadership roles at AXA XL, Axis Re, and Coaction, with responsibilities spanning underwriting, risk management, and business development across specialty and casualty lines.

Chris holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He is recognized for his strategic leadership, technical depth across complex (re)insurance risks, and proven ability to build and scale high-performing global organizations.
